We, the followers of Jesus Christ and South African patriots, cognizant of increased legislative and administrative attacks, by the proponents of the neo-Marxist ideologies, on the Judeo-Christian foundations of the Western culture, globally, we have resolved to defend those foundations by establishing ourselves in the Christian ministry under the name SALIM (Salt And Light In Motion). We are being motivated by the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ in His Sermon on the Mount (see Matthew 5:13-16).
The point of both metaphors (salt and light) in Jesus’ teaching is that His followers should positively impact the world around them.
SALT - its metaphoric preserving power is in Jesus’ will to be used by us, His followers, in preserving the fundamentals of the Judeo - Christian faith and God’s revealed truth in our lives and lives of our disciples (see Great Commission in Matthew 28:18
LIGHT- Jesus uses its metaphoric illuminating characteristic to exhort His followers to be visible by their lives to the fallen world and thus causing unbelievers to “glorify the Father in heaven” instead of praising them, mortal men (see Matthew 5:16).
God’s will for us Christians is to know that our struggle in the dark fallen world is, ultimately, not against flesh and blood, but against evil spiritual powers operating through humans (see Ephesians 4:14) and institutions of power. Our struggle is thus against the evil rulers, against the world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (see Ephesians 6:12).
God’s will for us is not to rely on our own wisdom, but to rely on the preparation of the Gospel of peace (see Ephesians 6:15), which is the light of Jesus Christ’s truth.
God’s will for us is to be courageous and fearless, and He will be with us, wherever we go (see Joshua 1:9).
Our Mission
It is guided by the purposes of our Lord Jesus Christ and not by our desires.
The Lord Jesus has shown us, His followers, the value and light of God’s Word and importance of preserving the Judeo-Christian culture that is under sustained attacks from the proponents of the neo-Marxist ideologies, which seek to eliminate God from the culture, and impose an anti-biblical worldview.
Therefore,
we shall utilize the transforma-tional power of the Gospel of Christ in sharing it in the Church, and the culture, in order to be obedient to the Lord and enlarge the Kingdom of God on earth;
we shall endeavour to actively oppose the legislative and administrative imposition of the laws against the God ordained freedoms. The laws motivated by the neo-Marxist ideologies of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Intersectionality,Transgende-rism, Wokeness, killing of in-the-womb and out-of-the-womb children, Support of Homosex- uality (LGBTQ+), Education, Freedom of Speech and Reli-gion, and Labour are in the purview of our attention.
Our Priorities
We endeavour that our priorities are guided by the priorities of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore,
our highest priority is winning souls into the eternal life (eternal salvation) (John 3:14-18);
our priority is also to increase our knowledge of the Biblical Worldview in order to be in a position to share it with others;
our further priority is our immediate church community, and then to collaborate with the like- minded people in other churches;
we intend to reach out to the oppressed by the secular power to help them find solutions, to their existential problems, offered by God;
we intend to hold the South African government account-able for breaking the Natural Law established by God of the Bible, and for the attempts to replace it by God dishonouring laws.
Who do we intend to collaborate with?
The basis of our collaboration need to be Gospel focused and biblically sound.
Groups – churches, schools,
universities, old age
homes, orphanages,
police stations.
Individuals – pastors, elders,
parents, teachers,
medical staff,
social workers,
lawyers, …
How can community reach us?
Through one-on-one or group engagements facilitated by the church (Antioch Bible Church) and by schools’ collaborations.
Through social media platforms Facebook and Youtube.
Through the ministry website and email.
How shall we measure fruit of the ministry?
Our sharing of the Gospel of Christ will lead to repentance of sinners and their justification before God, then followed by membership of the local Bible teaching churches, and their sanctification by Jesus Christ.
The newly born again (saved) followers of Christ turning to glorifying God by the newness of their lives.
The South African government shall provide evidence of turning away from legislating of the laws based on the neo-Marxist ideologies and uphold-ing their biblical responsibility of punishing evil doers and defending their victims (see Romans 13:4).
The God’s sovereignty and our responsibility will prevail in our lives.
