The history of our civilization informs us that developments, which have been taking place, were bringing with them positive as well as negative results. Those who were the agents of the developments have not known, in most instances, about the negative results that those developments could produce. Some of the results of developments could be considered as both positive and negative. 

The development of an atom bomb by the US in early years of the fifth decade of the twenty century (at the end of the World War 2) can serve as the example of development having both, positive and negative sides. The positive side had been shortening of the war time and limiting war deaths. The negative side had been vast numbers of Japan’s deaths and proliferation of the nuclear arms after the World War 2. 

The rapid developments taking place, nowadays, in respect of Artificial Intelligence, create a scenario of positive and negative aspects of those developments. The godfather of the A.I. technology Prof. Geoffrey Hinton, and many other researchers in the field, are warning about the dangers created by the developments.
