The lectures had been presented by Dr. Carson in the early years of the twenty-first century during the ten weeks’ period. 

They have been recorded and published on The Gospel Coalition website in an audio format and transcribed into a text format. They are based on the last book of the Bible – Revelation.  Before starting the first lecture, Dr. Carson had prayed in the following words: 

“We bless you, Lord God, that you have disclosed yourself to us so richly and wonderfully in your Holy Word. Here we find things to encourage us when we are discouraged, to rebuke us when we are haughty, to instruct us when we are ignorant, to abase us when we are proud, and to build us up when we are crumbling.” 

I have thought that brothers and sisters of the Salt and Light in Motion ministry would be helped, to be what the metaphors of salt and light are, by study of Dr. Carson’s lectures.
